China to Hold Int'l Conference on Integrative Medicine

China will hold the Second International Conference on Integrative Medicines next year in Beijing.

The conference, scheduled for September 22-24, 2002, will focus on the treatment of AIDS, tumors, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, the abstinence from drugs, as well as the safety and development of traditional Chinese herbal medicines.

Participants are expected to share their latest achievements in combining western medicines with traditional Chinese herbal medicines, exchange experiences and map out solutions for the further development of integrative medicines.

Scholars from Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, Singapore and other countries and regions have been invited to attend the conference.
