Diplomatic envoys from the five states also greeted Jiang at the Great Hall of the People. During the visit, Jiang held talks with the presidents and met with other leaders of the five countries respectively, had an extensive and in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and major international issues of common concern, and reached wide- ranging consensus with them. Jiang signed the Sino-Russian good-neighborly treaty of friendship and cooperation and a joint statement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and issued joint statements or press communiques with presidents of other relevant countries respectively. Besides, China and the five countries signed a series of documents on bilateral cooperation in some fields. Jiang's visit to the five European states has made important achievements and has been a success. |
