People's Daily Calls for Uprooting Corruption
People's Daily will publish a commentary Friday calling for pulling up corruption by its roots.

It notes that the anti-corruption campaign should be combined with the on-going rectification of the market, and it is especially important to establish a management and supervision system that can meet the requirements of the market economy.
The focus should be put on restricting power, supervising capital flow, rectifying people's behavior and strengthening management, it adds.
It calls on the public and the media to further supervise officials, especially leading officials, so that they do not abuse their power.
The article finally urges the Party members to resist decadent ideas such as greed and self-indulgence, and build an "ideological Great Wall" that can keep corrupt elements out of the Party.
