China, Mongolia, Russia Studying Nomadic Civilization
Some 30 experts from China, Mongolia and Russia are traveling in Inner Mongolia conducting a joint study of the changes in the nomadic civilization in this northern China region.
The four-week-long research tour, initiated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is aimed at obtaining a better understanding of the nomadic civilization: its past, present and future.
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, inhabited by 49 people from ethnic groups, is one of the birthplaces of nomadic civilization in the world.
