Chinese Premier Meets Foreign Ambassadors
Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met with outgoing and new foreign ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People Thursday.

Zhu extended gratitude for the outgoing ambassadors for their efforts in promoting relations between China and the countries they represent.

After expressing his welcome to the new ambassadors, Zhu said that the Chinese government will provide convenience and support to their work during their tenure in China.

Zhu also briefed the ambassadors on China's current economic situations.

The outgoing ambassadors are Khek Sysoda from Cambodia, Dagva Tsakhilgaan from Mongolia, Abdulmohsen N. A. Al-Jeaan from Kuwait, Howard Balloch from Canada, Alexandr Karych from Czech, Pasi Rutanen from Finland, Mohamed Mongi Lahbib from Tunisia, and Hans- Christian Ueberschaer from Germany.

The new ambassadors are Christophe Gazam-Betty from Central Africa, Pierre Ago Dossou from Benin, Usama Badher Aldian Mahmood from Iraq, Anami Koreshige from Japan, Pengiran Paduka Asmalee Ahmad from Brunei, Boris Orazovich Shikhmuradov from Turkmenistan, Mohammed Nur Ahmed from Eritrea, Luke Vidiri Ratuvuki from Fiji, Klaus Ebermann, head of the European Union Delegation of the European Commission, Erlan Abdyldaev from Kyrgyzstan, Ilija Djukic from Yugoslavia, AA Kustia from Indonesia, Moussa Bouh Odowa from Djibouti, and Pelayo Joaquin Diaz Muguerza from Uruguay.
