A Palestinian of the Islamic militant group Hamas was killed Wednesday in an Israeli missile attack on his car when he drove in the West Bank town of Nablus, according to reports from Nablus.
Salah Darwazeh, 36, a senior political activist of Hamas, was killed by the Israeli army's ground-to-ground anti-tank missiles when driving in his Volkswagen car near the Beit Ilma refugee camp in the north of the occupied Palestinian territory.
The killing of Darwazeh brought the death toll to 54 since the Washington-brokered truce went into effect on June 13. 38 of them were Palestinians.
