CBA Punishes Offenders in Asian Basketball Tournament¡¡¡¡China Basketball Association Tuesday made a decision on the skirmish occurred at the China- Lebanon games in Asian Basketball Tournament Monday evening. China Basketball Team and its head coach were given a serious disciplinary warning and Zhang Cheng, No.7 player, was suspended for playing games.Monday evening saw a skirmish occurred between some Players of China and Lebanon Basketball Teams during the games of the Asian Basketball Tournament with some audience throwing sundries into the court, causing serious confusion on the spot. Therefore, China Basketball Association Tuesday meted out a decision of punishment as following: 1, we express serious regret over the matter and promise that we'll go all out to help the Asian Basketball Association to make investigation into the issue. We also extend our apology to Lebanon Basketball Team for it. 2, China Basketball Association bears the responsibility for the careless management and ineffective education to China Basketball Team and further measures will be taken to improve the management. 3, China Basketball Association decides to sound a serious warning to China Basketball Team and its head coach who failed to manage well and prevent the occurrence. 4, As a punishment Zhang Cheng, No.7 player, who poked into the issue firstly, was at this stage deprive of the rights for joining the games.
