China Becomes World's Sixth Largest Stock Market

By April this year, China¡¯s securities market capitalization had topped RMB 5 trillion with tradable shares worth RMB 1.7 trillion, which made China the sixth largest securities market in the world.

In 2000, Chinese enterprises raised a record high of totaling RMB 201.3 billion in A-share, B-share and H-share markets.
