Family of Cult Addict Condemns Falun Gong

Liu Renfang, 52, would have had a peaceful life in Pixian County, in southwest China's Sichuan Province, if she were not addicted to Falun Gong.

"Falun Gong victimizes people instead of bringing happiness to them," said Liu Banglu, husband of Liu Renfang, after he learnt that the body of his wife had been discarded by other Falun Gong practitioners without showing any sympathy.

Liu Renfang had long been suffering from headache and tracheitis. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1998, and gradually refused to go to hospital or take any medicine.

She died a sudden death in Hebei Province on the eve of New Year's Day, 2001 when she and other Falun Gong followers conspired to come to Tian'anmen Square in Beijing to "protect" the Falun Gong "doctrines".

Her fellow practitioners first neglected her death and later discarded her body into a river.

"Falun Gong is driving people into a trap of death," said Liu Banglu.

"How could those practitioners be called benevolent' for what they have done to her?" questioned Huang Zhixiang, sister-in-law of Liu Renfang.

"What happened to my mother was entirely brutal and inhuman," said Liu Ruitong, son of Liu Renfang.

Xue Wei, neighbor of the Lius, said that Liu Renfang and other followers are only tools of Li Hongzhi, ringleader of the Falun Gong Cult. The tools are thrown away like garbage when they are no longer useful, Xue said.

The Lius and their relatives hope that the Falun Gong Cult, a malignant tumor of society, will be excised as soon as possible.
