Chinese Wushu to Fight Thai Boxing in Beijing

The first competition between Chinese Wushu and Thai boxing will be formally staged in Beijing Workers' Gymnasium at 19:30 on September 8, ahead of the original schedule on August 18, as was told by sources released from a news conference in Bangkok on July 12.

Representing the Chinese side, the players are different-level champions of the national police Wushu competition plus one or two Wushu masters. After taking special training aiming at Thai boxing, Chinese athletes are confident of winning this competition.

The first formal competition between Thailand boxing, the traditional quintessence of Thai athletics, and Chinese Wushuwhich is thought world best for hand-to-hand combat with Thailand, will certainly arouse world attention.
