Hong Kong Beats Singapore at Asian Men's Basketball Championship

China's Hong Kong boosted with the second win over teams from South East Asia when they beat Singapore 92-71 Monday at the Asian Basketball Championship.

Hong Kong, 2-2, are one step away from the 9-10 placing finals as they are bracketed with Uzbekistan and Singapore in Group III in the second round of the continental competition.

Yung Kam-Wah and Leung Kwok-Shing scored 15 points, while other three, Lui Chor-Wai, Ng Wah-Fung and Tam Wai-Yeung, contributed 11 each to gave Hong Kong the win.

In Group IV, the United Arab Emirates crushed the winless Thailand 83-63. Ibrahim Rhalfan led the team with 18 points and seven rebounds.
