Better Services Provided on Beijing-Shanghai Air Route

If you want to fly from Beijing to Shanghai, you can have more choices, from 8 o'clock in the morning to midnight, more than 40 flights take off from Beijing International Airport with plane types ranging from MD, Airbus to Boeing 777. And you can even choose your landing airports at Shanghai Hongqiao or Shanghai Pudong as you please.

Beijing-Shanghai is known as the most frequent route registering the greatest number of domestic passengers and the highest seat occupancy. Due to the reshaping of China's aviation industry, only 3 airline companies were left to provide services on the route, and having almost the matching competitive strength, each of the three airlines holds an seat occupancy of over 70%. Since China Eastern Airlines opened a quite competitive service March 25 this year, other airlines are greatly affected, and as a result, competition between the airlines on this route becomes more and more intense.

Price war between Beijing-Shanghai airlines never stop, a unified price from Beijing-Shanghai is 1,030 yuan set by Beijing side, but in Shanghai, the price can be cut by 50 percent or even more. According to news from Shanghai, more and more Beijing passengers tend to buy tickets in Shanghai by way of EMS (Express Mail Service) or a round trip ticket in Shanghai.
