Securities Regulator in Shanxi Arrested for Taking Bribery

Police in this capital of north China's Shanxi Province have arrested a securities regulator on charges of taking bribery, Shanxi Daily reported.

The Xinghualing People's Procuratorate of Taiyuan City has arrested Duan Suchen, the deputy director general of the Futures Division of China's Securities Regulatory Commission and the Taiyuan Securities commissioner, for accepting bribery and illegally issuing business licenses for others.

Duan, 43, a member of the Communist Party of China with a master's degree, is a returned student from Japan, accepted 527,000 yuan in bribes for illegally issuing business licenses for some business people.
