Denmark Extends Assistance to Nepal

The government of Denmark has agree to provide the Nepali government with a technical assistance worth 137,000 U.S. dollars for a project to support institutional strengthening of anti-corruption, a press release said Friday.

The main objective of the project is to enhance the institutional capability of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority in Nepal in combating corruption, said the release by the Nepali Finance Ministry.

The assistance, provided under the framework of Danish support in the areas of good governance and decentralization, consists of equipment, training and expert services, among others.

A supplementary agreement to this effect was signed and exchanged here Thursday between the governments of the two countries, the release said.
