Computer Monitoring System for Qinshan Nuclear Power Station Passes Appraisal

The computer control and monitoring system for the Qinshan Nuclear Power Station, a system designed and manufactured by Chinese engineers, passed an appraisal Friday.

The system has surpassed overseas products with its strong anti- clutter capacity, real-time reactivity, and high precision and resolution, said experts from the Ministry of Information Industry, who are here for the appraisal.

The system, with independent intellectual property, consists of a computer system and a failure detection and safety monitoring system, through which the operators can perform a real-time surveillance of each part of the power station to ensure efficiency and stability in operation.

The computer control and monitoring system is designed and manufactured by the Beijing-based Helishi System Engineering Co. Ltd., China's largest industrial automation base, as well as the first company in the Chinese mainland that can provide large-scale computer systems for nuclear power stations.
