NBA's All-Star Team to Visit Shanghai and Taipei in September

As NBA announced Tuesday, its all-star team will visit Shanghai and Taipei in September. During the visit, the team will hold a demonstration tournament with Chinese team led by Wang Zhizhi who has become a NBA member and basketball talent Yao Ming.

According to reports, the star players who are coming to China include Seattle SuperSonics' Gary Payton, Milwaukee Bucks' Ray Allen, Minnesota Timberwolves' Terrell Brandon, Atlanta Hawks' Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Philadelphia 76ers' MacCulloch, Los Angeles Clippers' Corey Maggette Phoenix Suns'Cliff Robinson and others. In addition, NBA's mascots and cheering squad will also give a show for audience.

NBA said that although they had organized players to hold world circuit tournament in China's mainland and Taiwan, they failed to have an show tournament. They hope they can benefit from this tour in order to tap for the market in Asia. According to the plan, the first circuit tournament is scheduled to be on September 16 in Shanghai and the second match to be held in Taipei three days afterwards.
