Shanghai Securities Market to Offer Investment Education Service

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and some leading market institutions will jointly offer an education service for investors in the securities market, according to sources at a symposium held Wednesday in Qingdao, a coastal tourist city in east China's Shandong province.

The service will be build into a network for investors to acquire knowledge on the different aspects of investing, according to officials with the SSE.

Targeting investors with different investment profiles, the network is designed as a virtual library covering a wide range of topics.

Through cooperative efforts, the SSE has established a special channel on its official website, updated digital information and published a large number of books and brochures.

New content will be added to the network on an ongoing basis in order to keep investors abreast of new developments and references, said officials.
