HK Recorded Drop in Foreign Assets of Exchange FundHong Kong recorded a decrease in foreign assets of the Exchange Fund in June, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced Monday.According to the balance sheet of the Exchange Fund at the end of June released by the authority, there was a decrease of 4.9 billion HK dollars (628 million U.S. dollars) in the foreign assets of the Exchange Fund during the month. By the end of June, Hong Kong's foreign assets, representing the external assets of the Exchange Fund, amounted to 853.1 billion HK dollars (109.4 billion U.S. dollars), the authority said. |
