Chinese Economists Drafting Green-paper on Economist Laws

Chinese economists gathered in Taiyuan, this capital of north China's Shanxi Province Monday for the drafting of a green-paper on the development of China's economic laws.

The green-paper is expected to give an overall review of the country's major achievements in the making of economic laws and research over the past century and also a look into the economic law development trend and research prospects in the 21st century.

Economists believe the green-paper, once completed, would serve as a theoretical guide for the legislation of relative economic laws, which are closely connected to the country's reform and opening up drive and meanwhile conducive to the improvement of China's economic legal system.

This February, eight renowned Chinese economists had finished with the collection of relative materials and framed out the basic structure and content of the paper, which is expected to be published next year.
