Pilot Killed in Air Crash in EnglandA pilot died on Sunday in a mid-air crash involving three planes in central England, local reports said.The collision happened over the Evesham area of Worcestershire in mid-England, about 32 kilometers south of the city of Birmingham, when a glider collided with a plane, which was towing a second glider, a BBC report said. One male glider pilot died in the crash and the other was taken to hospital where his condition was described as "not serious," a spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service said. The dead man was in the glider which was in free flight. Witnesses said he baled out but his parachute failed to open properly. Meanwhile, another man was killed when his glider failed to take off and crashed at south Wales, the report added. |
