India, Pak Makes Statement Following Summit Meeting AgraIndia and Pakistan issued a joint statement following the summit meeting between Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and President Musharraf Sunday morning and afternoon in Agra.Following is the full text of the brief statement, announced here at 4:30 p.m. by an Indian information office spokeswoman: The Prime Minister of India and President of Pakistan met today for one and a half hours of one-to-one and over an hour of delegation-level talks. The talks were held in a very cordial, frank and constructive manner. The Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf will have further meetings later today and tomorrow. Talks will also be held between the two delegations at official and ministerial levels. The President of Pakistan has extended an invitation to the Prime Minister of India to visit Pakistan. The invitation has been accepted. |
