Half-Century Old Book on Mao Zedong Found

A monographic book on Chairman Mao Zedong and his theory published more than half a century ago was recently found in Xianyang in the northwestern province of Shaanxi.

Experts said it is the earliest example of this type of book to have been discovered so far.

The book, belonging to a retired official Li Furong, was published in March 1946 by the writer Zhang Ruxin.

The 99-page book was divided into five chapters expounding Mao' s philosophy and thoughts.

The book also includes treatises by Mao's colleagues like Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Liu Shaoqi.
