Pakistan
i counterpart Gen.Pervez Musharraf on the selection of
Beijing
as the venue for holding of the
2008 Olympic Games
.
The selection of Beijing is a befitting tribute to the great progress and contribution made by China for the development and promotion of sports, said Musharraf in his message.
In the message, the Pakistani head of state also expressed confidence that the 2008 Olympic games will be one of the greatest sporting events of the 21st century.
