Sousa said the government of Cape Verde attaches importance to the development of the friendship with China, which has a long history, and is grateful to China for its long-term selfless aid. The opening ceremony of the embassy of Cape Verde in China Thursday morning demonstrated the African country's willingness to keep a close relationship and strengthen cooperation with China, he said. Cape Verde will, as always, firmly support China's reunification cause and hopes it will be realized at an early date, he added.
