FM Spokeswoman on Beijing Winning Olympic Bid

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Friday night that China thanks the International Olympic Committee and all friendly people in various countries after Beijing won the bid for hosting the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

Beijing was awarded the right to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games at the 112th Session of the International Olympic Committee in Moscow.
