Beijing Olympic bid organizers started their final presentation to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Friday in Moscow.

Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing made a report Friday on behalf of the Chinese government to the 112th Session of the International Olympic Committee to reaffirm the government's support for Beijing's bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Li said in his report that the Chinese government stands firmly behind Beijing in its bid for the 2008 Olympic Games and has worked out a detailed plan to ensure an excellent Games in Beijing.

Appreciating the evaluation conclusion made by the IOC Evaluation Commission on Beijing applying work, he said the Chinese government will fulfil every commitment it has given in Beijing's Candidature File and will do whatever it can to help Beijing carry out its promises.

The Chinese government has made great achievements in promoting the Olympic spirit in China and improving the state of public health of its population, and has also do much for helping other developing countries with their sports facilities, Li said. For instance, China has helped these states build 36 stadiums and will continue to do so in the future, he noted.

The vice premier promised that the government will use the surplus in the Games revenue to set up an Olympic Friendship and Cooperation Fund for financing sports in developing countries if Beijing gets the chance to host the Games.

Over the past 20 years China has been one of the fastest growing economies in the world and has enjoyed continuous political stability, social progress and sustained economic growth.If the 2008 Olympic Games are held in Beijing, such achievements will be pushed forward greatly, the vice premier stressed.

An Olympic Games in Beijing will not only serve the interests of the Chinese people, but also boost the Olympic spirit, and contribute to peace, friendship, stability and development in the world, he said.
