Joint Puppet Show to be Performed by Across Straits Troupes
At the invitation of Taiwan's "Central Broadcasting Station", China Puppet Show Theatre will stage a joint performance with Hsiao Hsi Yuan Hand Puppet Troupe early August in Taipei.
Taiwan 'Central News Agency' carried a report Thursday that it's the first time for China Puppet Show Theatre, established in 1955, to perform in this island province and the Theatre will play its forte --- The Little Mermaid, revised from Han Christian Andersen's fairy tale. In the meantime, Hsiao Hsi Yuan Hand puppets Troupe will bring audience traditional glove puppets.
During the mobile performance, the two troupes will introduce hand puppets, muppets and other puppet shows of the same origin across the Taiwan Straits by various ways.
