Guangdong Exposition Featuring Economic Exchange
The ninth Guangzhou Exposition opened Thursday in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province to promote interprovincial and international economic and trade exchange and cooperation.
During the six-day event, hundreds of domestic and overseas enterprises will display their famous brand products and high-tech developments. The exposition provides more than 900 booths for products ranging from chemicals, medicine, building materials and textiles to foodstuffs.
The exposition is jointly sponsored by the city government of Guangzhou and the Foreign Trade Center Group of China.
Over the past eight years, the exposition has attracted a total of 1.42 million business people and visitors, reaching an overall trade value of 10 billion yuan (1.2 billion U.S. dollars) and signing 809 economic and technology cooperation projects with a total investment of 52.2 billion yuan (6.3 billion U.S. dollars).
