China Willing to Make Efforts to Tackle Climate Change: FM Spokeswoman

China is willing to make concerted efforts with the international community to deal with climate change, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Thursday.

In response to a question at a press conference, Zhang said, as the resumed Sixth Session of the Conference of the Parties (resumed COP6) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will be held soon in Bonn, Germany, it should try to conclude the negotiation agenda which the Sixth Session of the COP left behind, so as to help the implementation of the Convention and help the Kyoto Protocol take effect at an early date.
