Hong Kong Golf Open Named Official European Tour Event

This year's Hong Kong golf open was named an official European Tour event and boast a total of 700,000 US dollar prize fund.

The move makes the tournament the fourth Asian tour event to secure joint backing from the European PGA and guarantees a top quality field at the Hong Kong Golf Club between November 29 and December 2.

This year's tournament will be one of the last events for the Asian tour and will help decide the line-up for Asia's team to take on Japan in the inaugural Dynasty Cup next year.
