More Students Enthusiastic About MBA

Over 25,000 students in China are now taking courses in Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programs, indicative of China's booming market economy.

Statistics show that 64 Chinese universities have so far started MBA programs, in sharp contrast with only nine universities and 81 students in 1991.

Among those MBA students, "white collars" from foreign- financed enterprises and joint ventures, who have high English levels and a high enough income to afford tuition fees ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 Yuan, take up the lion's share.

Experts here believe that the increasing enthusiasm in signing up for the MBA programs, on the other hand, reflects the rapid growth of China's market economy and on the other is helpful for the training of high-quality professionals for the country.
