The Bank of China (BOC) said Tuesday that it has again been selected by Euromoney as the "Best Bank in China," which is also the eighth time the bank has won the title since 1992.
A spokesman for the BOC said that Brady, publisher and executive director of Euromoney, has arrived in Beijing this week to extend congratulations to Liu Mingkang, president of the BOC.
Euromoney is a financial magazine that is held in high regard in international financial circles. Every year it selects the best banks in each country in accordance with their profitability, management characteristics, business innovation ability, competitiveness and other performances in the previous year.
The spokesman said that Euromoney has given high marks to the BOC. Winning of this year's title indicates that the BOC's performance in the past year has been generally recognized by international financial circles.
