Chinese Vice-Premier Leaves for IOC Moscow Meeting

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing left Beijing Tuesday morning for Moscow to attend the 112th session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), on behalf of the Chinese government.

Among Li's entourage were Vice-Foreign Minister Zhang Deguang and Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council Xu Shaoshi.

Jia Qinglin, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, and Igor Alexeyevich Rogachev, Russian Ambassador to China, saw them off at the Great Hall of the People.
