New Zealand PM Welcomes China's Entry Into WTO Within Year

New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark said Monday evening that she would like to see China 's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) within the year and she is confident about it.

Helen Clark made the remarks in an exclusive interview with the Wellington Television. New Zealand will benefit from China's entry into the WTO, she said, adding it will help New Zealand export more agricultural products to China.

"China is so big. Its economic potential is so powerful. That not to have it in the world trading system would be a major mistake," the New Zealand prime minister said.
