Chinese-Made Men's Clothing to Debut in Koln Expo

A delegation of six elite men's clothing makers in Wenzhou city of Zhejiang Province, east China, left Sunday for Koln, Germany, to display their products at an international men's clothing exposition.

This is the first a Chinese men's clothing maker delegation participating in such an international exhibition.

Wenzhou is one of the leading clothing production bases in China. Last year, the output value of its garment industry reached 20.3 billion yuan (2.4 U.S. dollars).

An official of the China Garment Association said the city "has made progress in stride" in the production of men's clothing, with the technology and quality meeting international standards.

The six garment manufacturers selected by the association and the city government will display suits, leisure clothing, shirts, leather shoes and other men's clothing accessories in the Koln exposition, an influential international show.

The Chinese delegation will have business talks and exchanges with German men's clothing producers.
