Local Authorities Facilitate College Entrance Exams

In order to make sure the national college entrance exams go smoothly, local authorities around China are taking measures to guard against all kinds of disruption.

Exams may be difficult to take for students across the country. Many areas in southern China have been experiencing bad weather because of Typhoon Utor. In northern China, some regions will have a temperature as high as 38 degrees Celsius.

But local authorities have taken preventative measures. For example, in southeastern China's Fujian Province, substitute power supplies have been provided at testing centers in case of blackouts. In the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou, noise disturbances due to planes, trains, construction workers are being kept to a minimum.
