Nanjing to Build 400-million US Dollars Sports Complex

Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu province and host city of China's 10th National Games, will build a modern sports complex with an estimated cost of 400 million US dollars.

According to Kong Qingpeng, chief of Jiangsu province sports bureau, the constructing of the sports complex will be completed in three years, one year before the opening of the 10th National Games.

According to the plan, the sports complex will include a stadium with a capacity of 60,000, a aquatic center with 3,000 seats and a tennis center which has 20 courts.

"The preparation work for the constructing project will begin in July and the complex will be ready in 2004," said Kong Qingpeng.

The 10th National Games of China will be held in 2005.
