Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), will pay a state visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from July 17 to 20, 2001, at the invitation of King Norodom Sihanouk, said a press release on Friday just received from the Foreign Ministry.
During the visit, Kim Yong Nam will be granted a royal audience by King Sihanouk. He will also separately meet with President of Senate Chea Sim, President of National Assembly Prince Norodom Ranariddh and Prime Minister Hun Sen.
A joint communique between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is expected to be signed at the end of the state visit.
