Foreign Reporters Visit People's Daily Online

At 2:30 p.m. July 4, People's Daily Online welcomed in a group of 40 special guests to visit the new working platform of People's Daily Online. This is the first group of foreign reporters and news officials received since the new working platform was put into use on June 5, as well as the first large-scale reception of foreign colleagues to come for visit.

The reporters and news officials, first of all listened to a brief introduction on People's Daily Online and its new working platform, then they visited the new working platform and had talks with some editors at work on the spot. This was followed by their visit to the new office building of the editorial department of People's Daily.

The visitors came from 28 media institutions, the United States alone had six, namely AP, ABC, the Los Angeles Times, the US Christian Science Monitor, Knight- Ridder Newspapers, Cox Newspapers, as well as some world-famous media institutions, such as Reuters, BBC, Le Monde, TBS, the Middle East News Agency.
