China's Top Legislator Meets ROK Guest
Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC), met Wednesday with Lee Jong-Nam, chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection of the Republic of Korea (ROK).

Li recalled his visit to the ROK in May, saying that he had fruitful discussions with ROK leaders during the visit.

Li said bilateral ties have been progressing well, adding that the two countries have conducted cooperation and exchange in wide- ranging areas since the establishment of diplomatic relations and the people-to-people friendly exchanges have also been growing.

The Chinese Ministry of Supervision and the ROK Board of Audit and Inspection have developed good working relations, Li said, adding that the two sides have had fruitful cooperation and exchange in executive supervision, audit, and anti-corruption.

He said that he hopes the two supervisory bodies will further cooperation.

Li also briefed the guest on China's work to strike hard against corruption.

Lee said that Li's visit to ROK was a success, adding that the visit will be of importance to the furthering of ROK-China relations.

He said that ROK Board of Audit and Inspection and the Chinese Ministry of Supervision have maintained good cooperative relationship, stressing that the ROK side will make further efforts to enhance the relations.
