"Watermelon Queen" Auctioned on Watermelon Festival
A watermelon weighing
10.5 kilograms was crowned the "watermelon queen" and auctioned at about US$1,100on the watermelon festival held recently in Lixian County, central China's
Hunan
Province.
The "watermelon queen" won its title by beating nine big watermelons selected from villages in the county. Sun Shengjun, the farmer who grew the watermelon queen was also named the Watermelon King during the watermelon festival.
