NPC Vice Chairman to Visit DPRK

Jiang Chunyun, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), will lead a Chinese delegation of friendship on a visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at invitation from July 9 to 13.

This was announced by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue here Tuesday.

Jiang, who is also a political bureau member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), will attend the activities held by DPRK in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendly Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between China and DPRK.

According to the spokeswoman, a DPRK delegation of friendship headed by Kim Yunhyok, Secretary General of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of DPRK, will visit China at the invitation of the Chinese side from July 10 to 14 to attend the commemorative activities in China.
