FM Spokeswoman: Randt Nominated US Ambassador to China
The US government has nominated Clark Randt as US ambassador to China, although the nomination has not been approved by the Congress.
This was confirmed by
Chinese Foreign Ministry
spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue at a regular press conference here Tuesday.
The US side had consulted with China about the issue before, and China had agreed to the nomination, Zhang added.
