Beijing Holds International Service Trade Seminar

A three-day international seminar on the development of Beijing's service trade opened Monday in Beijing.

The seminar will focus on four areas: contracted overseas labor services, cultural exchanges with other countries, traditional Chinese herbal medicines and insurance services.

According to an official from the Beijing Foreign Trade Commission, Beijing now accounts for over 20 percent of the nation 's total service exports. However, compared with some cities in other developing countries, Beijing still has great potential for developing its services export sector.
