CPPCC Chairman Meets Researchers
Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Monday met with all the members of the first council of the newly-formed Chinese Economics and Society Research Association.
Li, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), delivered his congratulations on the founding of the research association.
He asked the researchers to study the important speech made by President Jiang Zemin at the grand gathering marking the 80th founding anniversary of the CPC Sunday, and apply the guideline of the speech in their research work.
He also said that he hoped the researchers to study both China and the world as a whole, to absorb all research findings made by mankind throughout history.
