Foreign State, Party Leaders Greet CPC 80th Founding AnniversarySome foreign state and party leaders sent letters and telegrams recently to the central committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and its General Secretary Jiang Zemin, congratulating the CPC on its 80th founding anniversary.In his telegram to Jiang, President of Namibia and the SWAPO party Sam Nujoma said,"The Communist Party of China has entered the 21st century on a solid ground with immense prospects for the future national economic growth and development of the People's Republic of China." "The Communist Party of China commands international admiration and respect for the commendable role it is playing in promotion of peace, friendship and cooperation in international and regional affairs," Nujoma added. The SWAPO party is grateful for the CPC's all-round political, diplomatic and material assistance and support to the cause of Namibia's liberation struggle from Apartheid colonialism and minority white oppression, he noted. Romanian Prime Minister and Chairman of the Social Democratic Party Adrian Nastase said in his letter to Jiang that his party is willing to develop the cooperative ties with the CPC in a bid to enhance the Romania-China traditional friendship. Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Markarian said in his letter of congratulation that the CPC has gone through the tests of history and overcome countless difficulties and hardships to make China one of the powerful countries in the world. Markarian, also the head of the Armenian Republican Party, said he believes that the friendly ties between the two states, the two peoples and the two parties will be further developed in the future.
