Vice Premier Attends Theatrical Evening

Vice-Premier Li Lanqing was present at a theatrical evening staged jointly by the nation's top artists and scientists on Monday.

The event was sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ministry of Culture and Chinese Association of Science and Technology to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China.

The vice-premier sang together with the performers and the audience the song "Our Motherland" towards the close of the event.
