Senior CPC Leader Urges Party to Study and Carry Out Spirit of Jiang's Speech
Ding Guangen, a senior official from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday urged all Party members to seriously study and earnestly carry out the spirit of the speech by General Secretary Jiang Zemin to mark the CPC's 80th anniversary.
Ding, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and member of the CPC Central Committee's Political Bureau, said that Jiang Zemin's speech has answered a number of widely-concerned and fundamental questions and is of great importance.
The history has proved that the CPC is a great, glorious and correct Party, he said, adding that the leadership of the CPC is the inevitability of history and selection of the people.
He noted that without the CPC, there would be no new China and without the leadership of the CPC, there would be no modernizations in China.
Ding made these remarks at a proseminar marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of CPC, which was sponsored jointly by various departments of the CPC central committee, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army and a number of other ministries and departments.
The proseminar was held on July 1 and 2.
Ding said at the seminar that at present, the top priority task of the Party is to "study Jiang's important speech and practice the spirit of the speech in daily work."
