Russian Youth Delegation Concludes China Visit

A Russian Youth Delegation, composed of 37 people from Russian Government departments, parliament and organizations of culture and education, arts, sports and media, concluded their five-day visit to China and left for home Monday.

The delegation, led by Andrey Selivanov, chairman of the Sub- Committee on Youth Work of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development, met with Huang Yicheng, Chinese chairman of the subcommittee, Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister and vice-chairman of the subcommittee Zhang Deguang and officials of the All-China Youth Federation during their week-long visit to China.

During their stay in Beijing, members of the delegation held discussions with students of the Beijing Foreign Language Studies University and other institutions of higher learning.

The delegation also visited Shanghai and Suzhou in east China.

The visitors told their Chinese hosts that they experienced the Chinese people's profound friendship for the Russian people wherever they went. The current visit enriched their knowledge about China and they were impressed with the great achievements China has made over the past 20 years, they said.

The visitors said they will work for the friendship between Russia and China after they return home.
