Syrian Communist Party Speaks Highly of CPC's Contributions to Marxism
Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Syria Yousuf Faisal Sunday highly praised the great contributions made by the Communist Party of China (CPC) to the development of the Marxist theories.
"The Communist Party of China has made significant contributions to the development of the Marxist theories," Faisal said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.
He said relations between the Syrian Communist Party and the CPC have enjoyed healthy progress for recent years. He has seen with his own eyes the magnificent achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC after the reform and opening-up policy was implemented. He has been to China for four times, and each time he found some significant new changes, said Faisal.
The CPC creatively integrated Marxism-Leninism with the concrete revolutionary practice in China to bring forward the new policy of reform and opening-up, and hence obtained new experience in building socialism. The CPC has provided important experience for the communist parties of other countries on how to insist on Marxism.
He said that economic development is a key factor of socialism. The advantages of the socialist system are revealed only when economic problems are properly solved. The CPC has also gained abundant experience in political practice, said Faisal.
